Bateson, 49, of Cleburne, a brother of Mrs.

Herbie Cohen of Austin and formerly of Marshall, will be held here Thursday at 10 am Mr. Bateson died Monday at 10 p.m. in M.D. Anderson Clinic in -Houston after a lengthy illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs.

Myrtle Bateson of Cleburne; his mother, Mrs. John Bateson of Cleburne; three children; and another sister. Flames Kill Longview Woman LONGVIEW The first Longview fatality by fire was recorded Monday morning, when Mrs. Dollie Colbert, 88. died in a fire that destroyedher residence.

i The fire at Court and Whaky Streets had already progressed considerably, Longview Fire Chief Joe Causey said, before the 2:50 a.m. alarm was sounded. Three units answered the alram. Mrs. Colbert was the only resident of the house, Causey said.

Burial was in Memory Park Cemetery under the direction of Welch Funeral Home. Mrs. Calloway died Sunday morning in a local hospital. Sie had been a resident of Longview since 1338, moving from Van. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include her husband, William Calloway; one daughter, Mrs. J. H. Brunson of Corpus Chrisu' two sisters, Mrs. Leo Graham of Dallas and Mrs.

Monday at Welch Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Parrott officiating. Burial was at Pirtie Cemetery. Mr. Fambrough died early Sunday morning at a Longview nursing home.

He was a member of First Methodist Church and was a retired owner of a meat marketing business. Survivors include one brother, Virgil Fambrough of Kilgxe, and a umber of nieces and nephews. MR, WRIGHT LONGVIEW Funeral services for MeJvin Lucious Wright, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Rader Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Mills officiating.

Burial was at Hallsville Cemetery. He died early Sunday at a local hospital. A member of the Methodist Church, Mr. Wright was retired from Hibbs Security Agency. He had lived in Longview for 10 years.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Euline Wright; a son, David Wright; two daughters, Mrs. Hulen Ingram of Oklahoma City, Ok and Mrs. Sandra Anderson of East St. Louis, five half-brothers, Otto Ritter of Longview, Elmer Wright and Willie Wright, both of Tyler, Herman Wright of Borger, and Newland Wright of Palestine; three half-sisters, Mrs.

Monday in a Temple hospital. A native of Pawnee, he attended Oklahoma AIM College and served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II. He and his wife moved to Hughes Springs in 1946 and bought a grocery store which they owned and operated for 28 years. In 1966 they built a large supermarket which they operated until 1971.

Mr. Harmon was a member of the Hughes Springs City Council at the time of his death and was Mayor pro tern. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Board of Stewards of the church AIR CONDITIONING 4 HEATING Mr. and Mrs. Ross Ayers Jr.
